An individual may earn this micro-credential by effectively and elaborately providing a summary of the foundations of the field and the breadth of community engaged work, in accordance with the key competencies for this micro-credential area.
Applicants must demonstrate having earned, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution of higher education.
At the beginning of the application process, individuals will be expected to complete a self-assessment in which they reflect on their own knowledge, skills, and aptitudes related to the key competencies in the micro-credential area. The self-evaluation is designed to help applicants decide whether they are ready to continue through application process or whether they will want to pursue additional training, professional development opportunities, or practical experiences before continuing. For those encouraged to seek further preparation, Campus Compact will provide a vetted list of available training opportunities to support their learning and professional development. The Compact also provides a link to key readings and resources in the micro-credential area (see menu at left) for candidates to explore and learn from.
